Jeff S. Maxwell

Jeff Maxwell has been a competitive swim coach for over 35 years and has been a Head Coach for USA Swimming since 1985. He has been the Head Coach for the Adirondack Bluefins swim club since 1987. He began his coaching career at the college level with a total of 15 years experience. His college coaching experience includes the Head Coach position at Potsdam State College, University of Buffalo, RPI, and Siena College. As a college coach, Jeff led Potsdam State College and the University of Buffalo to the SUNYAC Conference Championships on four separate occasions. In addition to winning Conference Championships, he was honored with the SUNYAC Coach Of The Year award three times. While coaching at Siena College, he was honored with the MAAC Conference Coach Of The Year award. Jeff has coached 3 qualifiers for Olympic Trials and numerous qualifiers for the Junior and Senior National Championships, the Speedo Series Championships, and the Eastern Zone Championships. In addition to college and competitive club coaching, Jeff coached the Varsity Girls Swim Team for Shaker High School for six years. During that time, numerous swimmers set school records and qualified for High School State Championships. A memorable highlight as a coach was training and assisting an Adirondack Bluefins team member to successfully swim across the English Channel. Jeff currently lives with his family in Latham, NY.


Eric Martell

Eric began coaching for Bluefins in the spring of 2023 after a stint with the Delmar Dolfins Swim Club. He has served as Head Coach at the Emma Willard School since 2021. Eric has coached many athletes to sectional finals, Age Group and Senior Zones, and Region 1’s. Previous to Adirondack, Eric coached for Mercury Aquatics in the Niagara LSC and for his high school team, Wayland-Cohocton. Beyond swimming, Eric is an administrator and teacher at Saint Gregory’s School and lives in Guilderland with his wife. 

 


Emily Caboot

Emily began coaching for Bluefins in the Fall of 2021. She swam for SUNY Oneonta from 2012-2016 while pursuing a dual major in Adolescent Biology Education and Biology. Originally for Rochester, Emily started her competitive swim career at Gates-Chili High School swimming four years on the varsity team and training year-round for the Greece-Spencerport Marlins Swim Club.  During the day, Emily teaches Biology and Horticulture at Averill Park HS and she also coaches Girls Varsity for Troy-Averill Park and Boys Varsity for Troy-CBA. In her free time, she likes to hike, garden, swim, and knit.


Elizabeth Robert

Elizabeth is a native of the capital district and graduated from The Sage Colleges in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She began working as a lifeguard in 2011 and has been a certified Water Safety Instructor since 2016. Elizabeth began teaching swim lessons in 2014 and started coaching for the Bluefins in the fall of 2017. Outside of swim team, Elizabeth enjoys being outside, hiking, running, and spending time with her friends and family.

 


Eileen Goralski

Eileen swam from the Greater Glens Falls Flyers for 7 years and the Glens Falls YMCA Gators for 3 years, qualifying for YMCA nationals each season and continues to hold the 100 and 200 breaststroke records for the team. She attended Queensbury High School where she swam for the varsity team from 2007-2010, attended the State Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and still holds the 100 breaststroke record. Eileen swam for the Geneseo Blue Wave from 2011-2015 and qualified for NCAAs in 2013 where she earned All-American honors in the 200 Medley Relay. She has a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from SUNY Geneseo and a Masters of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College. Eileen has been teaching swimming since she was 15 years old and began coaching for the Bluefins in 2022.
